A video poem written and videographed by Shani Mootoo. Lest I Burn is a personal view of how it feels, as a visible queer, to walk on "The Drive: down Commercial Street which is the hub of lesbian acivity in Vancouver and also the home of Italian macho-dominated coffee bars. A strange, interesting and precarious intermingling/clashing of cultures.
