We Pay To Look Like This explores adult "war games", grown men and women who migrate from their regular jobs in the city to a country reserve where they conduct war games with paint pellet guns. The full regalia of the military is observed, complete with battle fatigues, military ranks, and the opposing sides respecting the international "rules of war". The tape follows a weekend of war games outside of New York City and talks to the people who play these games and explores their reasons for doing so.
