The five separate sections of the tape (11:59, Nightwatch, 12:01, House of Fire, and New Year's Day) deal with memory as subject matter, with references to other themes such as desire, separation, death and the pursuit of pleasure. The tapes are presented with the "minimalist" sensibility that is at once illustrative and open to wide interpretation.
