United Media Arts Studies (UMAS)

1987, 01:00 minutes, colour, English

TAPECODE 2008.02

Nell was inspired by looking in a rhyming dictionary and finding inherent narratives and connections in words that rhyme. We then shot stills on 35 mm slide film; colour xeroxed the slides then hand coloured each xerox. The result is a crude form of narrative and animation which deconstructs in a humourous way the packaging of consumerism. The tape was commissioned as a video wall by Public Access.
