A young urban hunter searches for his prey in a snow-covered oasis. He shares his hunting philosophy while setting traps, until the bait entices the next woodland creature. This hunter is an absurd figure. His words place the rhetoric of the pro-hunting and animal rights debate in an equally absurd context. He is not located in either political camp. His is a symbol of the uneasy relationship urban dwellers have with the "natural" environment, and our mixed feelings about sharing the planet with other life forms.
