A distraught mother, whose son has gone away to school, tries to stay close to him by constantly playing videotapes of him engaged in ordinary activities. Her behaviour soon becomes compulsive, as she feeds her son, serving his video image real meals and watches his every move attentively. Soon she is skipping her English classes in order to more deeply immerse herself into her relationship with the image of her son. The realistic setting, dialogue and performances are in contrast to the almost surreal plot line of this tape. In the end, the woman leaves her husband to be closer to her son.
