OPEN MOUTH LAUGHS (2:30) - Karen Kew
A re-interpretation of those ritualized gestures meant to define cultural specificity. Still, photocopied images are reanimated to create the illusion of motion.

SALZWASSER (3:00) - Ed Sinclair
A tongue-in-cheek poke at a popular narrative style, using German to heighten the dramatic elements of this other wise odd, experimental work. The narrator's relationship to the pseudo-historic film elements, plays unusual counterpoint to the almost absurd and sometimes over-the-top imagery.

FURNACE (8:00) - Karen Kew & Rob Brandstetter
Where is north? The site is Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario with its steel plant in the centre of the city. Notions of what this northern landscape means is investigated by the stranger and the local.

RSP SEASON IN CANADA (17:00) - Kenwood Collective
The epic tale of a motley bunch who decide to take the law into their own hands. The consequences are tragic.
