Room Service: Local 11 Pays a Visit to the New Otani focuses on an active campaign by Local 11 of the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees Union to organize workers at the New Otani Hotel in downtown L.A.'s Little Tokyo district. "Organizing" is an anatomy of a class struggle which pits a largely immigrant work force against a powerful multinational construction company, Kajima Corporation, revealing a complex portrait of the workers' struggle for self-determination.
