This tape examines the unique environment of Niagara Falls. As well as being an important political border, Niagara Falls is one of North America's most popular tourist attractions. The video shows the intersections of personal experiences and mediated language and imagery, sometimes with comic effect. It loosely follows a journey, on foot, from the Canadian Horseshoe Falls across the Rainbow Bridge into the United States. The tape plays with the conventions of narrative cinema revealing the structures that lead us to believe that what we are experiencing will inform us.
