Collecting Theory is part of a larger exhibition called Flower Theory, which includes wall pieces, video artworks, and other media. It has been shown in Toronto, Montreal, and abroad. In the tape, Bristol revises the botanical classification system devised by Linnaeus. She then goes on to demonstrate how leaf-cutter bees are a matriarchal, lesbian society.
