One of Canada's most internationally celebrated artists, Kim Adams is highly regarded for his originality, sly wit, and disarming populist formalism. A builder and collector, over the past twenty-five years he has created a lively and sophisticated body of sculpture by transforming the ordinary manufactured things of modern life into miniature worlds, fantastical machines, and nomadic habitats. In this video profile, Kim Adams generously discusses his ideas and processes, focusing on major works included in his survey exhibition held at The Power Plant Gallery, Toronto, Canada from June 23 - September 3, 2001.
