Canadian artist Spring Hurlbut’s work exists between art and architecture, decoration and history, tradition and contemporary practice. In a career that spans twenty years, she has given us a creative output that speaks eloquently about the transformative power of time and the passage of one experience into another. In this video profile, Hurlbut discusses her strategies and methods, focusing on her major installation, The Final Sleep, which was exhibited at the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto, Canada from April 28 – August 12, 2001.
