This video is an abstracted landscape, a painting in motion created by strapping a camera on my back while I mountain bike. Each trail offers a distinct collage of colour, pattern, and (at times) recognizable foliage, as imaged in relation to my body's movement through different spaces.
The video is intended to be projected large scale. The visual sequences for each trail are silent to allow the viewer to focus on patterns and textures created, whereas the interludes between the trails contain the sounds of the ride: my breathing, the bike, and the wind.
This version is a single channel version of an installation.
