Remote Control Electronic Brain Punishment
2002, 06:30 minutes, B & W, English
Identity dissolves in the digital landscape. This video combines original film footage and rapid single frame security camera footage from a high school. The only permanent icons in the landscape are consumer beacons in the form of junk food and beverage machines serviced by non-identifiable human forms. the narrative is a late 1980's Usenet entry from a man incarcerated and subjected to what he believes are government controlled brain experiments. As the subject begins to mutate an indifferent camera continues to record the body made object, in a conjoining and oppressive visual landscape.
