Past, present and future eerily connect in the downtown Toronto apartment of inimitable drag-queen-pianist, Miss. Goodwill. Initially, I had written a role for him as a "Live-Action Betty Boop Guru Desert Apparition" in a project that proved too ambitious for reality, but he always remained enthusiastic that I would find a way to bring him back to the screen and encouraged me to not give up. Scaling back, I decided to hone things down to the essence and endeavor to communicate on screen the uncanny yet heartwarming parallels that exist between me and Miss. Goodwill and the two lead characters in the classic Canadian feature film, "OUTRAGEOUS" (after all, Miss. Goodwill did make a memorable appearance in the sequel, "Too Outrageous" and more than just a co-star was in fact a close friend and companion of the late, legendary Craig Russell). In truth, it is largely Miss. Goodwill's deep, abiding affection for Craig that inspired him to continue performing throughout his fight against cancer - as Craig persisted throughout his fight against Aids. Miss. Goodwill's favorite song is "Never Never Land" from the musical "PETER PAN" and never have I met a more proud purveyor of such magical
places - "...just think of the lovely things, and your heart will fly on wings".

In an [art] world where cynicism so often, to so many, seems more precious than gold - Miss. Goodwill reminds me that some "cliches" will always be worth fighting for.
