Within this video, a young woman struggles with her identity. She is torn between a traditional Native way of life and a contemporary lifestyle of pop culture. She dances to a distorted song that leaves her both hypnotized and sickened. Both distorted and authentic Native American chokers rhythmically move across the screen, while fighting for their presence. This women’s individual identity stands between the battlefield of both traditional and contemporary life.
