What began as an experimental documentary about the policing of gender and gender identity within schools, this video evolved into a much more complicated, abstract narrative about a sense of gender that is often not understood by straight, queer and trans communities alike. From the perspective of a 16 year old transboy and his 29 year old queer teacher, art is used to document their journey as they question what has been done to stand up for our trans communities in Canada. Pathological understandings of gender identity are challenged throughout, and diverse experiences of understanding what a boy might be are emphasized.
