This film is essentially a trance film. In making it I combined various influences from traditional Métis music, beading and embroidery as well as experimental filmmaking practices of the early and mid 20th century. The use of repetition, patterning, study of objects and balance within the frame and the rhythm of both movement and sound are points at which, for me, these varied traditions intersect.
