Afghan Vignettes is based on footage shot on the Kandahar airfield and environs, Afghanistan in 2002. The artist was under contract with the Canadian Military (DOD) as a participant in a pilot project for the Canadian Forces Artists Program.

Herc explores from an elliptical viewpoint an experience in a Hercules aircraft: approaching, landing and observing the airfield framed by open rear loading doors.

Self-Portrayal is a video self portrait of the artist retreating into his tent and immersed in the soundscape of his Afghanistan experience.

Tally
is shot from the perspective of boots hitting the ground, raising dust from the Afghan soil as scrolling text describes the various methods of death that have visited Canadian military personnel.
