LA PELOTA (The Ball)

Gianfranco Foschino

2007, 10:30 minutes, colour, Silent

TAPECODE 978.00

This video shows the game developed by a couple of kids having a ball in the sea of southern Chile.
This video belongs to a sequence of short narratives through which Gianfranco Foschino seeks to establish an aesthetic that emphasizes the search for the values of the landscape, rescuing (as it has made a part of Chilean poetry) memories of the province and small villages where the nostalgic images of lost childhood merge like in a primitive nature of a myth that would be revealed, the myth of the landscape and a mystery that can only try to access through the remembrance of what has been lost, of what has been forgotten in other games earlier age ago.
