Death Valley is a experimental/documentary video which exposes a journey downwards, one woman’s path towards the bottom or lowest point on the continent – in Death Valley, California. She - the woman attired in black, has taken the initiative to walk towards the site of her own grave in order to confront her fears associated with mortality, and locate a resting point for grief and loss. In descending without going six feet under, in positioning herself at the lowest geographical point, and on top of her grave, not only is she provided with an opportunity for reflection and letting go, but more importantly, an opportunity to head back up towards another existence.
