The Storm

Blake Williams

TAPECODE 1012.01

Shot in Galveston, TX about three months following the devastation caused by Hurricane Ike in September 2008. Buildings and homes had been damaged, moved, and/or obliterated by the storm. Shown here, the interior lighting that once occupied the structures remains in place. This is a study of dichotomies such as darkness and light (natural and artificial), the past and the future, the land and the sea.
