Images from two Egyptian musicals are set to Oum Kalthoum singing the song Ifrah Ya Albi / Rejoice, O My Heart. The footage is looped to draw out fleeting moments of intimacy in the source material. The chaste touch, kiss, and sigh were waiting to be drawn to our attention by repeating those moments, freezing them, playing them backwards and forwards in loops that slowly cross the boundaries from the normative into the taboo.
