The Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, hero of Canada’s most vulnerable: migrants, women, and LGBTQ peoples. Bambitchell responds with a love letter to Mr. Kenney.

(1) Queen of Canada

December 2011, Jason Kenney attempts to ban all face coverings for those performing the Canadian citizenship oath. This short video tackles the Islamophobic and misogynistic nature of Kenney's ban, and the
performative nature of nationalism in the citizenship oath.

(2) Queen of Israel

November 4, 2012, Haifa University in Israel presents an honorary Doctorate of Philosophy to Jason Kenney in recognition of his heroism in defense of the State of Israel. This short video looks at the irony of Kenney’s award, given Israel’s track record of human rights abuses against Palestinians and international refugees.

(3) Queen of Queers

September 21, 2012, Jason Kenney sends out an email to LGBTQ activists and allies across Canada. The email contacts were taken from a petition created by change.org to prevent the deportation of an undocumented queer artist. This short video responds to Kenney’s pronouncements “against the persecution of gays and lesbians, and the marginalization of women”, understanding that he has single-handedly doubled deportations since coming into power.
