In a diner a group of four sit between two adjacent booths halved by an elbow- high wall. Something that doesn’t bring any notice to anyone is that one member of the party is missing, and that mystery guest’s green plate sits idle, fork a-kilter. This fourth member is quite possibly the filmmaker whose been assembling a raw and integral diary of the crime that is about to be committed, a crime known to everyone and committed by most: that of stealing. Conversation lingers, strolls, and dances between prophetic and ideological subjects including sky-rise balconies, wart-cures, a logicians private life and a baby-animal scrotum jacket designed by Marc Jacob, during which time the dialogue is put up for consideration and condensation as the party of three nibble and digest. An astral vortex poster seems to catch the attention of the group momentarily, it is an advertisement by the popular cosmic graphic designers who live in the neighbourhood and are selling a number of overpriced flat file drawers. Eventually the crime is indeed committed, wrapped in a napkin and tucked away in a guests leather jacket, this is the stealing of the green plate.
