The Nicest Waterfall is a collaborative piece with Japanese artist Ghaku Okazaki. Ben David explores Okazaki's paintings and prints through video manipulation and animation. The representation of eastern religions as well as eastern deities is of interest to both artists. In particular, Saraswati the god of art and music. The video imitates conventions of popular religious/meditative youtube videos such as; slowed down nature footage and psychedelic video filters. By following these conventions, Ben David and Okazaki hope to respectfully create their own youtube style meditative video for the deity Saraswati.
