RESONANCE MARK

2008, 03:41 minutes, colour

TAPECODE 755.16

RESONANCE MARK references the most serious of dramatic movie scores. Here sound visually deconstructs image. The ‘sound’ is a song written and performed by Gotro; here used in reference + response to sound tracks of feature films that use music to emotionally intensify a scene. RESONANCE MARK's score does not just intensify its imagery, it completely obliterates it, destroying visual continuity and replacing it with vertical hold/digital decay.

It features the smoking girl and Brian Kent Gotro (the silenced-singer).
