Grilled Cheese Sandwich (compilation)
2006, 89:49 minutes, colour, English
“A funny foray into cheesy acting and cheey singalongs as well as an off the wall climax...communist dialogue and gross out tidbits.” - Broken Pencil magazine
“Chock full of nutritional messages about breaking free from boring lifestyles, promoting choice, bucking the system and awakening consciousness.” - elevatedifference.com
A teenage leftist bookworm, a stoner 4-track geek, and an angry unemployed punk rocker are united by a dream – to escape the hellish boredom of suburban Grimsville, Ontario. But since they can't, they'll have to make do with drugs... and the brand new Grilled Cheese Sandwich Club dreamed up by their troublemaker friends. When Grimsville High's Principal Middleman unleashes riot cops on the club's free food servings, these spaced-out kids find their political consciousness awakened... sort of.
