Legs - Danko Jones Music Video
2013, 04:11 minutes, B&W, English
In 2013 the Toronto band Danko Jones commissioned Bruce LaBruce to direct a video for the single “Legs” from their album “Rock and Roll is Black and Blue.” The video is an homage to the work of Pierre Molinier, the French surrealist transgender photographer. LaBruce cast 13 trans women to star in the video along with the three band members. It was shot at the Great Hall in Toronto by cinematographer Bob Lyte, and the production design was by Kenny Baird, famous for his work with Floria Sigismundi.
