The Road Stops Here

1992, 30:00 minutes

TAPECODE 9810

The Walbran Valley is under seige and twenty protesters are out on the road setting up barricades. This valley is part of the last 3% of ancient temperate rainforest left on the southern coast and they will not stand by to witness its destruction. This tape documents the logging crisis in British Columbia, Canada, where individuals have risked arrest to make their point. Interviews with environmentalists, foresters, loggers and ordinary citizens dispel the myths of radical activist vs. hard-nosed loggers and point to the multi-national companies which continue to disregard the workers, native rights and the environment.
