Inside / Out by Lori Rogers manipulates still photography with video technology to discuss issues of representation of the female form in the context of its legacy in Western art history. Using crafted stills with a definite medieval sensibility, Rogers situates the female nude in a natural setting to create a sensual and erotic exposition of the delicacy of a ceremonial "shedding of the skin". The sound treatment is hypnotic, rhythmic with whispered texts taken from passages of the texts of Julian of Norwich, a fourteenth century mystic.
