Rhinos Rhule

TAPECODE 9832

Rhinos Rhule follows the descent of a previously successful artist into the pressure-cooker words of international big business and Federal politics. Michael Olito, forced out of art due to Canada's drastic reduction to arts funding, develops an alternative, wooden helicopter to the Dept. of National Defence's proposed purchase of $6,000,000,000 worth of new helicopters. The Government's refusal to consider purchasing his craft forces Olito to assume the persona of "The Flight Commander" and to run for Federal Parliament as the lone candidate for the Rhinoceros Party. This video follows the Flight Commander through his hectic political campaign and also shows rare footage of the prototype MO/93 - P.A.G. helicopter in action in both Winnipeg and Ottawa.
