Mined Histology shifts the focus from the image of the female body as viewed by a spectator to the process of being a living, breathing, feeling, sensing, thinking, desiring, gendered subject. A woman. An organ(ism) that speaks; a self-reflective biochemical process that makes meaning.
By literally collapsing the space between the viewer and the viewed, the audience is invited to merge with the psyche-soma of this metaporical subject; to breath her breath; to feel the reverberations of her pounding heart; to see the pictures playing in her mind's eye; to hear her thoughts; to suffer the relentless ache of her weeping heart and her gut-clenching struggles; to imagine her erotic pleasures, for herself.
