Born in Iran, Behzad Sedghi began a career in theatre, dance, photography and filmmaking in Germany before going to Canada to study film production at York University in Toronto.
Behzad’s work includes feature screenplays, short films, TV ads and documentaries including A Transsexual Journey, 1995, an award-winning television documentary for the CBC and short films Rumpelzwitter & Bassstilzchen (NFB), 2001, aired on Bravo! and Mel (Canada Council), 2013, MADA Award at COMMFFEST 2015. Ameno Project is his first feature released in 2020. Since 2005, Behzad has also been teaching film courses such as screenplay writing at George Brown College.
