Chihota Rahel is a Metis artist/musician. In her art, Chihota works to put to music and visuals, realities and experiences that are not part of the mainstream.

She works to convey her experience of the complexities of having mixed ancestry. Aside from these focuses, and being passionate about artistic creation in and of itself, Chihota’s art focuses on communicating experiences of marginalization and silencing. She is also an alternative counselor and anti-colonial researcher.
