Cailleah Scott-Grimes

A perpetual asker of big questions, Cailleah has appeared on either side of the camera, seeking to shed a little light and humour on the human experience. Her interest in understanding the creative mind has led her to live and work in Canada, the US, Europe and Japan. Her home is currently in Toronto, where she works as a documentary director, cameraperson and editor.
As a Jane-of-all-Trades, Cailleah works to bridge cultural, social and technological gaps through art and film. Her debut documentary, She Got Game (2015), is a personal adventure tale about the search for empowered women who are changing the social climate of video game culture. The film took home Best Feature and Best of Fest at Fan Expo Canada and was awarded Best Documentary at the Imaginarium Festival in Louisville, Kentucky. As a guest lecturer at high schools and universities, Cailleah urges young women to trust in their personal narratives and create media which truly reflects their own experiences.
