Kevin Adams

A resident of Los Angeles from 1984-1996, Adams grew up in the north west area of Houston Texas. He also lived in the Woodlands community when it opened in 1974. Adams has shown video shorts, video installations and photographs in museums, galleries and film festivals across the U.S. and internationally and his photos are included in the permanent collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Since 1996 he has resided in New York City and is a lighting designer for theatre, opera and film. His theatre designs have been seen internationally and he has received four Tony Awards for his work on Broadway.

Adams has received fellowships from the NEA and Art Matters Inc. and has received a MFA from the California Institute of the Arts.
