Reel Addictive

by Adam Nayman

EYE WEEKLY, June 14, 2001, v. 10, no. 36, p. 19

The article takes a look at the film festival, Rehab, that is approaching its third year. As the name suggests, Rehab is meant to show the "intoxication of film and video" (Carolynne Hew). This article includes brief descriptions and insights of some of the works presented at the festival.

The name of this festival playfully borrows its name from the neighborhood's (Parkdale in Toronto) notorious reputation. This three program festival introduces audiences to a variety of styles of film and video. From traditionally narrative works to slick music videos to ongoing installation pieces.
