The 1984 Ottawa International Festival of Video Art features a series of two-hours programs representing seven countries: Belgium, Great Britain, Japan, West Germany, France, Canada, and the U.S.A. Wayne Rutherford, artistic director of SAW Gallery where the festival originated, explains that the festival is currently focusing on works that bridge the gap between the artistic community and the general public.
