Stayin' Alive: Independents Prepare For A Showdown with Public TV

A review of a public hearing on the state of independent production on public television, held by the Association of Independent Video and Filmmakers, at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. In this hearing the association suggested alternatives to the present public television system and reviewed past attempts. This article discusses ideas to solve artist production and distribution through public television conflicts.
