Reading Between the Lines
Afterimage, Mar. 1987, v. 14, no. 8, pp. 6-7
A review and summary of the December 4th 1986- January 14th 1987 exhibition Video and Language: Video as Language, held at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions. This show was curated by Scott Rankin, and Tamblyn feels that the double title choice was a mistake. She feels that the show does portray video and language, but the second part of the title, (video as language) is not as strong, and may weaken the show as a whole. A short description of several of the works is given.
