See Reel Asian pics while you can

by Glenn Sumi

Now, Nov. 16, 2006, v. 26, no. 11, p. 104

The article about the 2006 Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival stresses that there is more to Asian cinema than stereotyped martial arts or ghost story stuff. Most films are from the asian diaspora, and hard to find in public screenings after the festival. Two documentaries on American asian artists and activists, a queer low budget musical and a campy comedy about a gay Asian couple in London are described.
