Grrrls on Film: Unruly Women Start Calling the Shots

This article provides a brief look at the many women video and filmmakers prevalent in 1996. A common thread between these women addressed is the DIY and grass-roots approaches they take towards production. A connection between the 90s feminist punk (riot grrrl) approach is related to the ways in which the individuals such as Miranda July, G. B. Jones and other women create their works.
