"Witnesses" Show Presents AIDS as a Complex Issue: Witnesses: The Effect of AIDS in Artists' Lives

Artist Nan Goldin curated the group show called Witnesses which explores various artists' relationship to the AIDS epidemic. Consisting of photographs, paintings, and sculpture in assorted media the shows artists' all live and work on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. This exhibition was conceived out of the reality of death that occurred in Goldin's own community.
