In this article/interview, filmmaker Richard Leacock discusses the technological innovations that have allowed him to create sync-sound videos relatively cheaply and independently. He shares his distaste for projectors and subsequent excitement about the home video cassette as democratizing device, also expressing fear of major industry dominating local film production. Having taught at M.I.T. for several years, he outlines his hopes for the future of filmmaking education.
