These letters from Douglas Davis to Artforum and from Allan Kaprow to Douglas Davis, chronicle a dispute regarding the nature and potential of video art between the two artists. Davis believes that both Kaprow and Artforum’s June 1974 issue are unnecessarily hostile towards video. Kaprow defends his position.
