A review of recent video work in New York. Media Hostages is a triptych of three videos that present three takes on the nature spectacle through the subject of a billboard on Sunset Boulevard. Howard Fried presents an installation that addresses the museum experience as a series of choices by presenting 14 interactions with Fried's kitchenette set on two monitors within the space itself.
