Interview with Marshalore.
"I suppose I became interested in some sort of abstract expression of how a human being can perform and it evolved into making actions." Marshalore indicates this as being a quality which motivated her to become involved in creating video works. She discusses the concept of symbolism as a link between her seemingly disparate first person tapes and the creating of intimacy in her work as a product of putting herself in specific situations and reacting there alone with the camera, as if someone else is there. Her work Dutch Light is highlighted (as a study of how she employes symbolism and metaphor).
