This article looks at the films of Kim Sheppard, which are created using footage Sheppard finds and appropriates from the internet, primarily from Youtube. Sheppard uses this footage to explore themes of anonymity and voyeurism, and how our culture has grown accustomed to recording and sharing ourselves and private lives through new media.
