Woody Vasulka, Whose Video Art Extended Boundaries, Dies at 82

This article offers an overview of the career of Woody Vasulka, an experimental artist who died aged 82. Well-known as a founder of The Kitchen, an avant-garde performance space in New York City, and for his work Art of Memory (1987), Mr. Vasulka and his partner Steina Vasulka contributed significantly to the development of video art through technical experimentation and new visual language.
